Türkiye moves to reassure tourists and travel industry

Tourism chiefs in the Mediterranean country confirm all resorts, hotels and experiences in Türkiye’s globally popular tourist destinations ‘operating as booked’.

All UK/Ireland flights to and from Türkiye are departing on schedule, while airlines serving the country report zero flight cancellations due to conflict.

Türkiye’s Culture and Tourism Ministry committed to supporting tour operators, Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and booking partners.

Tourism chiefs in Türkiye have sought to reassure holidaymakers and the travel industry that tourism is ‘proceeding as normal’ across its globally popular holiday destinations.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, together with Türkiye’s Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), confirmed that tourist operations across the country are continuing without disruption.

Türkiye is currently ranked as the world’s fourth most popular country for tourism, having attracted a record 64 million foreign visitors in 2025 – and today’s announcement highlighted:

  • Holidays to Türkiye are operating as usual, and nothing has changed: Every resort, hotel, excursion and experience is operating as booked – and there have been no closures, disruptions or government-issued restrictions on tourism activity anywhere in the country.
  • All flights to Turkish airports are departing on schedule: İstanbul, Antalya, Bodrum, İzmir and all other major Turkish international airports are operating normally, and no Turkish airport has been subject to closure, restriction or rerouting due to regional events.
  • Summer 2026 is on sale.  Tour operators, OTAs and booking partners are encouraged to actively sell Türkiye for the full 2026 summer season.  Türkiye’s Culture and Tourism Ministry is committed to supporting partner communications with data, quotes, and briefings on request.

Türkiye remains a key, reliable and high‑value destination for the UK and Irish markets in 2026 and beyond.
