Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup 2023 qualifying event in Powerscourt

#Traveltradetogether

Turkish Airlines Ebuzer Tanhan, Bugra Erarslan, Abby Chung and Onur Gul, picked the perfect day and venue to host the 2023 Turkish Airlines 2023 World Golf Cup qualifying event in Powerscourt Golf Club, Powerscourt Estate, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow in glorious Irish sunshine.

Winner on the day was Peter Mc Keever from the Castle Golf Club in Dublin just pipping our very own John Galligan (John Galligan Travel) on a countback. Peter will represent Ireland in the grand final in Antalya Turkey (Home of this year’s ITAA conference) later in the year where he will spend three days in this amazing location flying with the Airline that flies to more destinations than any other Airline, Turkish Airlines.

Since its inception in 2013, the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup now brings together over 8,000 players who compete against one another in more than 85 tournaments worldwide.

The event at Powerscourt Golf Club was one of 88 tournaments in this year’s Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup – with the victors competing in the Grand Finals in Türkiye later this year. From a global total of 88, those that win will go through to the Grand Finals and have the chance to play at Gloria Serenity Resort on the Turkish Golf Coast.

Representing Dublin, Peter McKeever secured their champion position with 38 points, and John Galligan was runner-up, while Jason McCarthy came third.

The Closest to the Pin competition was won by Jason McCarthy for the men and Ann Marie Dalton for the women. Peter McKeever won the lowest gross score with a score of 70.

Turkish Airlines General Manager in Dublin, Ebuzer Tanhan said: “We warmly thank all of our guests who made the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup here in Dublin a huge success. Once again, it was a thrilling tournament in the TAWGC series, congratulations to our winner, Peter McKeever, We wish him the best of luck in Türkiye.”

All Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup finalists will fly to Türkiye with the comfort and luxury of the Turkish Airlines’ Business Class.

Congratulations also to Olwen McKinney (Amadeus Ireland) who won the Turkish Airlines grand prize draw on the day winning two business class tickets to anywhere in Turkiye ! What and incredible prize.

On behalf of all on the day and all Travel trade participants, Travelbiz would like to thank Ebuzer, Bugra and Onur for their amazing hospitality and inclusion in what was a very special day.
