24th May 2023 at 4:03 pm Friday 19 May heralded the inaugural Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Cleveland, Ohio. It’s the airlines first new transatlantic service since 2019 and Aer Lingus now operates 19 transatlantic routes between Ireland and North America.

Visitors to Malta from Ireland increases in the first quarter of 2023
19th May 2023 at 12:00 pm The Malta Tourism Authority has announced that visitors from Ireland to Malta has increased significantly for the first quarter of the year (January - March 2023), when compared to the same time in 2019 and 2020.
January - March 2023 saw 9600 people travel to Malta from Ireland, compared to 6517 in 2019 and 7741 in 2020.
The success follows on from the new Ryanair route to Malta from Shannon Airport which was launched in March 2022. This is in addition to the Ryanair route from Dublin Airport.
