Travel Partners Group complete 2022 roadshows in Dundalk and welcome new partner American Airlines.
TPG Members; Amadeus Ireland, Hertz Ireland, ASM Ireland - ANA: Caribtours, Obeo, Solmar Villas, Ethiopian Airlines, Blue Insurance, Bookabed, Irish Ferries, MSC Cruises, Travel Focus and American Airlines touched down in Dundalk last week concluding their 2022 series of roadshows.
Over 20 agents from seven travel agencies attended the event in Dundalk and were warmly welcomed by Alan Sparling (ASM Ireland). Great food and beverages were served, followed by updates from all 10 partners and concluded with a quiz with some lovely prizes including gifts from Clarins, Nuxe, Joe Malone and Amazon to name just a few.

Don Shearer (MD Travelbiz and Travelfinders) and Declan Mescall (Travelbiz Features Editor) welcomed all trade partners and Irish members of the trade highlighting the opportunity to reconnect and share contact details and content to build on the already significant number of bookings that have been made for 2022/23 as reported by our trade partners.
Cork Airport Launches biggest ever Winter Schedule

Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Hildegarde Naughton T.D. officially launched Cork Airport’s biggest ever winter schedule. The biggest ever winter schedule features over 1.1 million seats across 27 routes, served by 5 airlines.
Cork Airport is expected to serve 2.1 million passengers this year and customers from across the south of Ireland have an extensive range of destinations to choose from including winter sun, city break and ski holiday destinations. The Cork Airport winter schedule will operate from 30 October, 2022 through to 31 March 2023.

Canada lifts remaining Covid Restrictions

Air Canada welcomed the Government of Canada's decision to lift remaining COVID-19 restrictions. As of1 October 2022, all travellers arriving in Canada will no longer need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter Canada or meet COVID-19 testing, quarantine or isolation requirements.
All travellers will also no longer need to submit their public health information through ArriveCAN, however, they can continue to use the optional Advance Declaration feature in ArriveCAN to save time at the airport by submitting their customs and immigration declaration in advance of arrival.

Taste of Spain World Paella Day celebration

World Paella Day took place on the 20th September. The Spanish Tourism Office in Dublin kindly invited a number of Press, including yours truly, to a foretaste in the atmospheric surroundings of A Taste of Spain on Camden Street.
Originating in Valencia, paella is one of the most universally recognised dishes of Spanish gastronomy. Like all good ‘national’ dishes, paella is a meal of humble Valencian origins that has transcended borders.
