Travel trade and media partners bridge the skies with our colleagues from Pittsburgh

Ita Hendrick (Travelbiz Trade Partner Executive), winged her way to Dublin city centre to join Jenny Rafter and Yvonne Muldoon from Aer Lingus, alongside more than 20 valued trade and media partners from Pittsburgh, for a very special evening celebrating the newest transatlantic connection between Ireland and the ‘City of Champions’.

Hosted in the stunning surroundings of DION at One Central Plaza, Dame Street, guests enjoyed drinks and a superb three-course dining experience featuring contemporary Irish cuisine with international influences, all complemented by spectacular 360-degree views across Dublin city.

Representatives from VisitPITTSBURGH, Pittsburgh International Airport and Aer Lingus shared the latest destination and aviation updates, highlighting the enormous tourism and business opportunities this exciting new route will create for both Ireland and Pennsylvania.

The new Aer Lingus Dublin-Pittsburgh service launched on 25 May and operates four times weekly aboard the airline’s Airbus A321XLR aircraft, offering customers a next-generation long-haul experience with enhanced comfort, improved fuel efficiency and fully lie-flat Business Class seats. The service further strengthens Aer Lingus’ growing North American network from Dublin Airport.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – famously known as the City of Bridges and home to six Super Bowl titles – is rapidly becoming one of the USA’s most exciting and authentic urban destinations. Visitors can experience its vibrant culinary scene, thriving arts and culture, world-class sports, riverfront districts, iconic neighbourhoods and easy access to the scenic beauty of western Pennsylvania.

Stay tuned to Travelbiz for more updates, insights and destination highlights from Pittsburgh – the City of Champions.
