Travel Counsellors Reports Record-Breaking January

Travel Counsellors has reported record-breaking sales over the peak January booking period.

Group sales for January hit £125 million, up 12 percent on the previous year and up 68 percent on pre-pandemic levels, marking it as the best January and best ever sales month in the company’s 30-year history – ending a record quarter.

Travel Counsellors Ireland with 80 Travel Counsellors, supported by the team at the Cork Office also broke records, contributing over €7.5 Million in January, with Wednesday 31st clocking in as the 2nd best day ever in the company’s 18 year history in Ireland.

8 Irish Travel Counsellors achieved record sales each of between €200,000 – €300,000, while a further 25 recorded sales of over €100,000, while every Travel Counsellor in the country contributed to the massive record set for the month.

The top five leisure destinations for Ireland’s Travel Counsellors and customers, booked in January were Spain, USA, Cruise, Thailand, Italy and Greece.  Corporate sales were up by 45% over prior year.
