TIGS at Portmarnock Links

TIGS (Travel Industry Golf Society) recently held their first outing of the year at Portmarnock Links. The weather Gods looked favourably on them as they played in glorious spring sunshine. Portmarnock Links is in the final stages of a major revamp which will bring it to an even higher level of links golf as the TIGS members got to preview the course and put their respective games to the test.

Shay Mitchell emerged victorious for the men and the ever-steady Audrey Headon took the Ladies prize. Jason Whelan, Dave Smith, Miriam Skelly and James Fleming were also in the winners’ enclosure.  Those who had not prevailed at the golf shared their tales of woe over an enjoyable dinner. The final act of the evening was to wish our esteemed President, Con Horgan, a very happy birthday, albeit a few days early!
