Dear Fellow TIGS Members,

As incoming Captain of TIGs for our 2023 season I want to reconnect with you all and update you on events in our Society.   The past few years have been extremely difficult but hopefully some semblance of normality has now returned and it is my wish that we get TIGS ‘back on track’ this year.

Under the able stewardship of Captain Olwen McKinney, we have kept TIGS going as best we could over the past two years.   Certainly, those who have attended our Outings have not only enjoyed the golf but the support and camaraderie of their colleagues and they have expressed the wish that TIGS continue and prosper in the future.

We have prepared the attached calendar of Golf Outings for 2023 and we would dearly love to see as many of you as possible play in every Outing.

With an understandable lack of sponsorship for the last two years and, in order to keep TIGS going, funds have become seriously depleted.   The unanimous view at the AGM was that an annual membership fee be reintroduced.  The sum proposed is €25.00.    Those who choose not to renew on this basis are still welcome to play in our Outings but at the Guest rate and will only be eligible for the guest prize.

Sponsorship for 2023 is currently being negotiated and finalised.   The best way we can show our appreciation to our Sponsors, apart from supporting them in business, is to attend the Outings which they kindly sponsor.

TIGS is your Golf Society and your views are important.    Please feel free to let me have your thoughts, views or wishes in relation to same.

How to renew your membership for 2023:

Please complete the attached form and return to us as soon as possible.   Membership fee can be paid by bank transfer to TIGS putting your name as reference (bank details on Membership form).    Alternatively you may pay at the first Outing but please return completed Membership form to enable us to update our database.

I, your President Con Horgan and Committee, look forward to seeing you all in 2023.

Warm regards and a happy New Year

Marian Benton

Captain
