The Visit Portugal Trade Roadshow brings glorious Sunshine to the Déise!

#Travelbizconnect #Travelbizhub #VisitPortugal #waterford Visit Waterford

Last night, Waterford’s Medieval Museum—in Ireland’s oldest and most beautiful city—hosted a stunning celebration of all things Portugal as the Visit Portugal Trade Roadshow rolled into town.

Some even paused to honour the historic wedding of Aoife and Strongbow (1170!) before joining Carlos Pinto de Oliveira (Visit Portugal), Susan, Michael, and Colm TravelMedia.ie plus Don Shearer (MD Travelbiz & Travelfinders), for a night full of flavour, connection, and culture with our incredible travel trade colleagues from Portugal.

Following a successful stop in Dublin, 24 elite trade partners from across Portugal showcased unforgettable experiences across Portugal for Irish holidaymakers.

Air connectivity is booming!

Carlos highlighted enhanced routes from Dublin, Cork, Shannon, and Knock, with TAP Air Portugal, Ryanair, Aer Lingus , and direct tour operator charter services bringing Portugal closer than ever—year-round access to all major regions.

Plus, a reminder:

Irish Travel Agents Association Conference – Centro Portugal | October 1st–5th

Registrations are OPEN NOW—don’t miss this incredible chance to experience the heart of Portugal with fellow trade professionals.

Special thanks to the talented Portuguese chefs who served up stunning regional delights—the cod and lamb were showstoppers, paired beautifully with Portuguese wines!
