Star Alliance Barbecue is a Summer Sizzler

#Traveltradetogether

The trendy Morgan Hotel on Dublin’s Fleet Street where Jacinta from Travelbiz attends a sparkling summer barbecue for the Star Alliance group on July 6th was a happening evening. Jam packed with airline personnel, travel agents, friends and media, the fun event kicked off with Jane Reeves (Star Alliance Coordinator UK & Ireland) welcoming assembled guests and offering a few hints for the big quiz to follow! Quiz Master extraordinaire Alan Sparling (ASM Ireland) emulated Jeremy Paxman in his erudite role and added fun and flavour to the proceedings! Super generous prizes on the night included airline tickets, vouchers and goody bags and the lucky winners chose from no less than 11 golden envelopes! Shane Coburn (Donabate Travel), Niall Mc Donnell (Killiney Travel) and Barry Hammond (Sunway) were all in the winner’s enclosure. Of course, the major airlines are represented in this global aviation alliance (founded in 1997) and today Star Alliance comprises 26 member airlines (including Turkish Airlines, Air Portugal, Air Canada, Aegean, United, Egyptair, Thai, Ethiopian and more). Alan Sparling (ASM Ireland) is happy to apprise you of group details and further explain the strategy of the most digitally advanced global airline alliance offering seamless travel experiences. The barbecue night on Thursday was a great success with delicious food and drinks. The stars come out at night and I think quite a few were starstruck at the Star Alliance barbecue!
