TAP Air Portugal will begin four new routes from today and tomorrow
TAP Air Portugal will inaugurate four new routes from today 1st and tomorrow 2nd July 2026, further strengthening its offer across European, island and intercontinental destinations.
Today the 1st July, the new connection between Porto and Terceira Island in the Azores will commence, with four weekly frequencies operated by Airbus A320neo aircraft. Flights will depart from Porto on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 15:20, arriving in Terceira at 17:05. In the opposite direction, flights will depart from Terceira on Mondays and Sundays at 17:55, and on Wednesdays and Fridays at 18:10, arriving in Porto at 21:25 and 21:40, respectively.

Later today, TAP will inaugurate the route between Lisbon and Athens, with five weekly frequencies.
Tomorrow on 2 July, the new route between Lisbon and Curitiba will commence, with three weekly frequencies operated by Airbus A330-200 aircraft, following the route Lisbon (LIS) – Curitiba (CWB) – Rio de Janeiro (GIG) – Lisbon (LIS), on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights will depart from Lisbon at 13:00 on Tuesdays, at 15:00 on Thursdays and at 11:45 on Saturdays, arriving in Curitiba between 18:45 and 21:55. Flights will then continue to Rio de Janeiro, and in the return direction will depart from Rio de Janeiro to Lisbon between 23:00 and 02:15, arriving at the destination between 12:55 and 15:55.

Also tomorrow, TAP will launch flights between Porto and Praia, in Cape Verde, with three weekly frequencies operated by Airbus A320neo aircraft. Flights will depart from Porto on Tuesdays at 20:35, on Thursdays at 20:25 and on Sundays at 20:10, arriving in Praia between 23:20 and 23:40. In the opposite direction, flights will depart from Praia on Mondays and Wednesdays at 01:10 and on Fridays at 01:30, arriving in Porto between 08:10 and 08:15.

It will be possible to connect onto these flights from UK airports.
TAP Air Portugal currently flies from London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester airport in the UK and from Dublin in Ireland to Lisbon and Porto with onward connections to Brazil, Africa, Madeira, Azores, the USA and Canada. TAP has a stop over programme allowing passengers to stop in either Lisbon or Porto on long haul journeys for up to 10 days for no additional air fare.
