SunExpress to Launch New Route from Dublin to Dalaman In Summer 2026

#Traveltradetogether

SunExpress, a joint venture of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, has announced the launch of a new route from Dublin to Dalaman as part of its summer 2026 programme.

The airline is offering passengers from the Irish capital the opportunity to fly direct from Dublin Airport to Dalaman twice weekly, with all flights operated by Boeing 737 aircraft.

SunExpress gives travellers an affordable and convenient way to explore one of Türkiye’s most breathtaking regions, renowned for its endless sandy beaches, outstanding value hotels and self-catering stays, and a vibrant dining and nightlife scene.

The new route will build on SunExpress’ existing presence at Dublin Airport, where it currently operates 10 weekly flights in total to Antalya and Izmir.

Passengers travelling with SunExpress from Dublin can look forward to discovering the natural beauty and cultural charm of Dalaman. This stunning region of Türkiye is known for its turquoise coastline, lush pine forests, and access to iconic sites such as the ancient city of Kaunos and the famous mud baths of Dalyan.

Dalaman offers a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration for every type of traveller, whether you are seeking tranquil beaches, traditional markets, or exhilarating outdoor adventures.

Tobias Bracht, Head of Sales for SunExpress, said: “The launch of direct flights from Dublin to Dalaman will give passengers easy access to one of Türkiye’s most picturesque and diverse coastal regions from the Irish capital.

SunExpress is thrilled to be supporting the growing demand for convenient and affordable connections between Ireland and Türkiye. This expansion highlights our ongoing commitment to offering exceptional holiday options that showcase the country’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and warm hospitality.”

Gary McLean, Managing Director, Dublin Airport: “This is an exciting new route from SunExpress, connecting Dublin directly with the stunning region of Dalaman. This addition to our summer 2026 schedule reflects the strong and growing demand for travel between Ireland and Türkiye.

SunExpress continues to be a valued partner at Dublin Airport, and we look forward to supporting their continued growth and success.”

SunExpress offers a variety of fare options designed to meet the different needs of passengers. These options include choices for baggage allowance, seat reservations, check-in methods, and flexible booking. These fares are bundled so customers can pick the combination that suits them best, giving them more choice and the chance to save money. This new fare structure aims to make travel easier and more comfortable for everyone.

In addition to ‘summer sun and beach’ travel, SunExpress caters for several other types of travel including cultural, archaeological, and culinary tourism, and sports travel.

SunExpress is a value carrier with a strong presence on the Turkish Riviera and in Anatolia. The airline operates in a total of 237 routes to 92 destinations across 35 countries.
