Spring Hotels helps travel agents rediscover Tenerife through ‘Business Builders’ sessions

Educational programme designed to help travel agents build confidence in recommending Spring Hotels and Tenerife.

Spring Hotels recently hosted the first of its Business Builders sessions, designed to support agency partners in confidently recommending both Tenerife and Spring Hotels’ six-property portfolio, located across the popular resort areas of Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos.

As travel agents respond to returning and growing interest in Tenerife and the Canary Islands amid  changing  travel  patterns  and  uncertainty  surrounding  some  previously  popular long-haul destinations, Business Builders has been created to help advisors refresh their knowledge of Tenerife and Spring Hotels – particularly those who may not have sold the island in some time or are less familiar with the hotel group.

Through practical educational sessions, Business Builders gives agents the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Spring Hotels’ portfolio, stay up to date with hotel developments and key selling points, and better understand which properties are best suited to different types of traveller.

The first session took place in early May 2026 in collaboration with Jet2, welcoming agents from Not Just Travel for first-hand experience of Spring Hotels and Tenerife. Activity centred around Mare Nostrum Resort and included destination experiences such as Mount Teide and local wine tasting, helping advisors gain a broader perspective of Tenerife beyond its popular beach resorts. Further sessions are already planned, including a confirmed event with The Travel Place in December 2026.

Ben Rood, owner of Not Just Travel (Northwest), said: “We recently brought 20 of our top sellers to  your hotel in Tenerife for a coaching retreat, and I just wanted to say how impressed we all were.

The hotel, meeting facilities, and food were all absolutely fantastic, and the level of service from your team throughout our stay was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff were incredibly helpful in arranging everything for us.

A special mention also for organising the trip to Mount Teide and the wine tasting experience, which were both highlights of the retreat and thoroughly enjoyed by the whole team. It was also a fantastic way to see more of Tenerife.

Thank you for helping make the trip such a success – we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your hotel for corporate retreats and events.”

Jo Robinson, Chief Sales Officer at Spring Hotels, said: “The travel trade plays an incredibly important role in our business, with around 80% of bookings coming through tour operators, travel agents and trade partners. As we’ve seen more interest returning to Tenerife and the Canary Islands, we wanted to ensure agents feel confident in both the destination and our hotels.

“Business Builders is about giving them first-hand experience of the island and our portfolio, so they feel confident having those conversations with clients and recommending the right holiday with confidence.”

Spring Hotels plans to continue Business Builders sessions with selected agency partners as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the travel trade.
