Sports Entertainment Tours Enter Irish Agency Marketplace

#Traveltradetogether

Belfast-based tour operator Sports Entertainment Tours were at the Mansion House in Dublin this past weekend for their exclusive event “An Audience with Rory Best”.  This highly coveted event saw guests enjoying a wonderful lunch in magnificent surroundings, prior to everyone making their way to the Aviva for the highly anticipated Six Nations match between Ireland and England.

Sports Entertainment Tours, established in 2021, has quickly gained a reputation of being a best-in-class operator in the Sports and Entertainment sector offering its customers unparalleled access to some of most sought-after events around the world. From rugby to soccer, golf to formula 1, concerts to horse racing, the team are all fans themselves and are adept at delivering bespoke itineraries for their discerning clients. No purchase is the same, some have unlimited budgets, others are seeking a once in a lifetime experience that they have painstakingly saved for, they believe in catering to all budgets.

“I never take for granted the trust our clients place in us” said John Boyde, Managing Director, “in the last 18 months we are fortunate to have experienced considerable growth. Our team is growing steadily, and we have made significant strides in the corporate, general public, group hospitality, and trade channels. As a business we are constantly in negotiations with our industry partners to source unique packages, whether it be a Premier League game in Liverpool, an F1 race in Abu Dhabi or a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden, the opportunities are endless.  Our culture is one of going above and beyond, every time, regardless of the client budget.  Our Trustpilot reviews are testimony to this. Our sister company, Sports Pro Travel, specialise in supporting professional sports teams when they travel around the world to fixtures.  These existing relationships affords us access to elite sports professionals who are already approaching us to be part of our next ‘audience with’ series, not just for rugby but many other sports.”

One additional area of steady growth for the company is their partnerships with travel agencies, becoming their exclusive supplier of sports and entertainment opportunities for them to sell to their own clients. “At the start of 2024 we worked with just a few agencies in Northern Ireland, but by year’s end we had the majority of independent agencies in the country working with us, as well as a large number of home workers, and select agencies  throughout the UK and Northern Ireland” said Travel Trade Manager Jordan McCluskey, “we have exciting plans for 2025 and part of my focus will be around meeting the demand from agencies in the South of Ireland who are only now hearing about our unique offering.”

The VIP lunch event saw Rory Best, expertly interviewed by Neil Brittain, regale the audience with stories and tales from his illustrious career, before everyone departed to hear “Ireland’s Call” and watch Ireland record another famous win over England in the opening Six Nations encounter.
