Royal update the trade at the Ivy

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd hosted a great evening at The Ivy in Dublin on November 9th to advertise their business plans for 2023 and ‘24. The Jonathan Swift room in The Ivy was jammed with cruise enthusiasts eager to learn the news updates from Royal Caribbean. A lively presentation by Stuart Byron (Director of Sales UK & Ireland) and our own Jennifer Callister was informative and exciting in content. The infectious enthusiasm of Michelle (ma belle!) Ryan adds to the interest as she recounts her personal experiences on board several Royal Caribbean ships.

Facilities on board these ships from Odyssey to Symphony to Explorer to Icon of the Seas are staggering and superlatives abound in relation to Utopia of the Seas in the plans for 2024. The clear message of the evening is the ambition of the brand is FORWARD. RCCL is bringing their ‘A game’ and the forward plans are seriously ambitious. Jennifer told us that Wonder of the Seas was the most successful ship of the season and, although there were a lot of challenges throughout, the extraordinary team effort and great support from the sales team and call centre made for positive interaction and an inspiring season finally.

Newest member of the team, John Booty, was on hand with equal enthusiasm, so the dream team for 2023 is at the helm to serve the Irish love of cruising – Team Royal is here! The sheer number of amazing ships (26) with 8 in Europe alone, in excess of 250 destinations, 1 private Bahamian island (Coco Cay has got to be on everyone’s dream list), reduced deluxe drinks, a charter flight from Belfast City airport, low deposits and incredible prices overall will cement Royal Caribbean as the cruise line to be reckoned with. RCCL offers an ocean of possibilities. Sail away and anchors aweigh!
