Royal Caribbean brings 20 agents on a once-in-a-lifetime Ultimate Utopia experience

#Traveltradetogether

Earlier this month, twenty lucky travel agents made their way to Orlando, Florida, to experience an exclusive VIP trip, following Royal Caribbean’s Ultimate Utopia competition coming to a close.

Ultimate Utopia ran as a points-based competition from 6th January to 3rd February, via the brand’s online trade loyalty programme, Upper Deck. Agents could pick up points in a variety of ways, such as Royal Caribbean bookings, quizzes, social media sharing, Virgin Atlantic flight bookings, and more!

At the end of competition, the ten entrants at the top of the leaderboard, plus ten lucky wildcards, won the once-in-a-lifetime Ultimate Utopia experience.

The experience saw the trade partners travel to Orlando in style, with Upper Class return flights with Virgin Atlantic, followed by a three-night stay at Universal Orlando’s Loews Cabana Bay Beach Resort (transfers included). Winners were then gifted with VIP passes and early access to the parks.

If that wasn’t enough, winners then made their way to Port Canaveral to embark on an epic 3-night sailing on Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas, where trade partners got to experience first-hand the latest Oasis Class ship – from 40 ways to dine, drink and party, including a lineup of parties only on Utopia; more pools than the days to count, show-stopping entertainment across air, ice, water and stage; and more! The vibes extended beyond Utopia to Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas. The top-rated private island, with 14 waterslides, the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean and The Bahamas, the newly opened adults-only oasis, Hideaway Beach, that features a private beach, pools and spots for drinks and bites, exclusive cabanas and a live DJ; and more.

Leaderboard winner, Sarah Hart, from Hays Travel, says, “The Ultimate Utopia competition was amazing! I always sign up for as many competitions on My Club Royal because they are literally the best in the industry! I do think it’s good that Royal Caribbean offer prizes to both the leaderboard winners and wildcards because it gives agents who maybe haven’t got the same advantages of top cruise sellers the opportunity to win also”.

Matt Phillips from Travel Chaps, shares his thoughts on winning a competition spot, “Absolutely Fantastic, winning a wild card place was amazing and was so excited to go on. I got to experience ship life as a guest, so it makes it much easier to explain and sell. I gained some invaluable knowledge and have already been reaching out to our clients to talk about the ship and of course carrying on the journey working with Royal Caribbean”.

Agents can register for an account on My Club Royal to keep informed on upcoming trade initiatives, including the tri-branded sales incentive, Destination Unknown, which launched earlier this month.

Destination Unknown sees Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Virgin Atlantic join forces to create the ultimate travel agent challenge, with a prize of a lifetime benefiting both the winning agent and their agency. Ten UK and Ireland travel agents will race across the globe, hunting for clues with one common goal: to bring home the ultimate prize package. The winner will receive a prize for their travel agency valued at £100,000 and comprising of marketing, sales, and commercial support. On top of this, they will scoop their own “money-can’t-buy-prize” – a holiday of a lifetime on both a Royal Caribbean and Celebrity ship, coupled with Virgin Atlantic flights.

hrough the My Club Royal platform, agents will also have access to Royal Caribbean’s newly updated sales tool, My Royal Genie, which offers partners specially designed features to make booking irresistible holidays even easier, with new cruise ship and sailing date search, extras section, an accessibility content page.
