Riviera Travel Marks Exceptional Year in Ireland with 115% Growth and Expanded Departures from Ireland

Ireland Continues to Drive Riviera Travels’ Global Expansion Plans.

Riviera Travel has reported an outstanding 115 percent year-on-year increase in passenger numbers in Ireland 30 November 2024 to 30 November 2025. The results underline the company’s rapid growth in the region and Ireland’s increasing importance within Riviera Travels’ global expansion strategy.

Captain Milan Sretr, Sarah Roberts CEO Practical Action, Phil Hullah CEO Riviera Travel

We’ve achieved this impressive growth through a combination of strategic initiatives and both trade and customer-focused enhancements. Incentives such as Riviera Explorer and The Riviera Vault have driven engagement and loyalty with our trade partners, while our October media roadshow amplified brand visibility and strengthened relationships. The introduction of regional departures has made our tours more accessible, catering to more holidays and departures out of Dublin. Riviera’s success also reflects its position as one of the best-value river cruise and escorted tour providers, offering exceptional experiences at competitive prices.

To meet rising demand, Riviera Travel has expanded the number of escorted tours now available with departures from Ireland. Newly added itineraries include:

  • Escorted Tour of Sardinia and Corsica 2025 – Riviera Travel 8 days from €2349 pp
  • Grand Tour of Lake Como, Milan & the Bernina Express 11days from €3189 pp
  • Dordogne, Albi and Carcassonne Tour Holiday 2025 – Riviera Travel 8 days from €2069pp
  • Helsinki, Tallinn and Riga Escorted Tour Holiday 2025 – Riviera Travel 8 days from €1659pp
  • Norway Tour | Riviera Travel 8 days from €2869 pp

  • Hidden Italy: Padua, Vicenza and Mantua | Riviera Travel 6 days from €1369 pp
  • Stockholm & Copenhagen Tour | Book Now For 2025 & 2026 7 days from €2119 pp
  • Madrid, Salamanca and Toledo Tour Holiday 2025 – Riviera Travel 7 days from €1759 pp
  • Switzerland, the Matterhorn and the Glacier Express Tour Holiday 2025 – Riviera Travel 8 days from €3189 pp
  • Malta Uncovered Escorted Tour – Riviera Travel 8 days from €1849 pp

Alongside this expansion, Riviera Travel has recently launched long-haul tours in Ireland, offering more choice across Asia, Africa and beyond. The company has also introduced the world’s first solo exclusive river cruise ship and continues to increase capacity across its river cruise fleet with new vessels arriving in 2026, 2027 and 2028. These developments support Riviera Travels’ long term Ireland growth plans. The TV campaign, with its agent call to action, has delivered strong results in 2025.

Riviera Travel Carrie Day Country Manager Ireland

Riviera Travel’s presence in Ireland has gone from strength to strength with the appointment of Carrie Day as Country Manager. Carrie is focused on regional strategy and deeper engagement with agents across the country.

Vicky Billing Director of Trade and Partnerships said “Ireland has delivered exceptional growth this year and continues to play a vital role in our global expansion plans as an important market for us. The increase in departures from Ireland, combined with the introduction of long haul and continued investment in our wider fleet shows our long term commitment to this market. From streamlined training and resources to immersive fams and fast-turnaround support our goal is to make it as easy as possible for agents to sell Riviera confidently and profitably. Ireland will remain at the heart of our international growth story Our goal is to make it even easier for customers to explore the world with Riviera and to give agents strong support to drive ongoing success in both tour and river cruises”.
