Riviera Travel Expands Solo Cabin Availability Across Selected 2026 River Cruises

As the leading river cruise operator for solo guests, Riviera Travel has announced an enhanced range of specially priced solo cabins across a selection of its most popular river cruise departures in 2026, responding to continued demand for its award-winning solo experiences.

Riviera has long specialised in creating unforgettable experiences for independent travellers, with the confirmed launch of its first dedicated solo-only ship for 2027 underlining its long-term commitment to the fast-growing solo market.

These additional solo cabin options give agents even greater flexibility to match their solo travelling customers with the right itinerary.

Following a 41% year-on-year increase in solo passengers, demand for Riviera’s solo offers remains strong, meaning availability is limited and cabins are released on a first-come, first served basis.

Available for agents to book both online and over the phone, the specially priced solo cabins are applied directly to the advertised price, allowing agents to showcase value to their customers from the outset.

Unlike solo-only departures, these sailings allow solo guests to join standard departures alongside couples and groups, offering a sociable onboard experience while still benefiting from Riviera’s dedicated solo expertise.

A selection of itineraries and departure dates with specially priced solo cabins include:

Itinerary Name  Departure Date Savings
RIVER CRUISES
Cruise the Heart of Europe: Journey along the Rhine, Main and Danube 30 September 2026 Save up to €3,525

The Blue Danube

The offer spans a choice of popular river cruise itineraries and multiple 2026 departure dates, giving agents added opportunities to meet growing demand from solo customers while maximising value.

Will Sarson, Product Director at Riviera Travel, said:

“Solo travel continues to grow, and Riviera is proud to be the leading choice for solo guests, with departures for solo cabins consistently in high demand. By releasing additional availability across some of our most popular itineraries, we’re opening even more opportunities for solo travellers to experience Riviera, without compromising on quality.”

Vicky Billing, Director of Trade and Partnerships UK & Ireland, added:

“From a trade perspective, this is about making solo travel easier to sell. With upfront pricing built into their advertised price, agents can clearly demonstrate value to customers from the outset, without added complexity at the booking stage.”
