New York City and Conventions on Dublin sales mission
Well, Tryphavana Cross and Reginald Charlot were certainly on a sales mission in Dublin when they brought the Irish travel trade together for an informative workshop to apprise all our agents of the considerable charm of New York City. In case, you weren’t aware, there are 5 distinct Boroughs in New York, and each Borough is completely individual, trendy, commercial and, quite frankly, amazing.
New York will ever have the allure of a mega city with stunning attractions, world class museums and galleries, sports arenas, unparalleled shopping, iconic Central Park, ethnic dining quarters, Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State, Staten Island, the High Line and, of course, Lady Liberty herself. Reginald Charlot advised that New York City Tourism & Conventions (the official destination marketing organisation) works tirelessly to promote the city and participants in the workshop were kept busy marketing their wares.
Representatives included Robert Turner from Arthouse Hotel; Derek Reyes from Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises; Mike Riordan from Fit Tours NYC; Will Polo from Empire State Observatory; Haley Ward from Hudson Yards; Alexandra Rodriguez from Hotel Beacon; Maris Kuklis from Jet Blue; John Marshall from NYC Borough Pass; Ryan Schwartz from Rockefeller Centre and Benjamin Lipnick from Whitney Museum of American Art.
The room was hopping all night with a great level of interest in NYC and our pals across the pond. Mark Weiser from Shake Rattle & Roll Pianos brought the “hopping” to a whole new level with his extraordinary musical talent and toe tapping tunes. A lively quiz brought out competitive spirit for lots of prizes, but the winner of the top prize of an amazing trip to NYC with JetBlue Airways was Linda Byrne, Killiney Travel. It was a super night with plenty of agent interaction for fabulous New York City. New York City – well, they did name it twice, didn’t they?
