MSC Cruises Hosts Charity Cycle in Woking to Support Alder Hey Children’s Charity

#Traveltradetogether

MSC Cruises UK & Ireland is set to host a charity cycle event on Monday 10 March 2025, outside the Export House at Victoria Place Shopping Centre (Henry Plaza) in Woking, raising funds for Alder Hey Children’s Charity.

Throughout the day, MSC Cruises employees will take turns cycling on stationary bikes, encouraging shoppers to donate and support the cause. The event is part of the company’s pledge to raise £10,000 for Alder Hey, which provides vital care and support for children and families across the UK. MSC Cruises will also match public donations made on Monday, helping to double the impact of contributions.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity helps fund life-saving equipment, research, and facilities at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, one of Europe’s leading specialist children’s hospitals.

The event is being supported by The Gym Group, which has kindly donated the use of two stationary bikes for the fundraiser, helping MSC Cruises bring this initiative to life.

Commenting on the charity cycle, Antonio Paradiso, VP of International Sales at MSC Cruises said“We’re excited to bring this fundraiser to Woking and do our part to support Alder Hey Children’s Charity. Giving back is an important part of our values at MSC Cruises, and we’re proud to support such a vital cause. We hope the local community will get behind us, cheer on our cyclists, and help make a real difference for the children and families who rely on Alder Hey’s incredible care.”

Hayley Thomas, Head of Corporate Partnerships, Alder Hey Children’s Charity said: “We are very grateful for all of the support we’ve received from MSC Cruises, and we’re delighted that they’ll be supporting us again with their charity cycle event! It’s been brilliant working with the team and we’re really looking forward to seeing how successful this event will be.”

Shoppers are invited to stop by, cheer on the cyclists, and contribute to this important cause.
