MSC Cruises 2024 World Cruise to welcome celebrity chefs on board

MSC Cruises, will welcome three celebrity Chefs on board MSC Poesia during the second leg of her 2024 World Cruise.

Guests currently travelling on board MSC Poesia have circumnavigated Africa, discovering spectacular destinations on their journey. While on the trip of a lifetime, the ship will visit 52 destinations across 31 countries. To enrich their experience, MSC Cruises has invited three Celebrity Chefs to join the adventure, allowing guests to discover the world through their palate, thanks to an enriched culinary programme available on board.

On top of the high-quality, international dining options that MSC Cruises’ guests have come to expect, those sailing the 2024 World Cruise can experience something extra special with menus crafted by a line-up of award-winning chefs.

These chefs are joining the world cruise at different intervals to prepare a complete menu from three to four courses, each showcasing the very best of their respective cuisines from around the world.

  • South African celebrity chef, Restaurateur and Media Personality Reuben Riffel will serve a menu inspired by local flavours and guests will have a chance to taste authentic cape spiced pickled fish, peppered Karoo lamb and malva pudding.
  • Veteran Brazilian Chef and Restauranteur Allan Vila Espejo will serve a menu including authentic Manioc soup, Bahia-style fish stew with vegetables and coconut milk and a traditional Brazilian chocolate coconut cake.
  • Michelin-starred Swedish chef, TV personality and author Niklas Ekstedt will serve dishes inspired by natural ingredients and his farm-to-ocean ethos including dishes such as poached lobster and confit salmon.

If that wasn’t enough, the chefs will also be on hand to greet guests in person as they taste their delicacies in the ship’s main restaurants.

Guests still wishing to explore far and wide in 2024 can book the last remaining cabins for shorter segments of the MSC World Cruises 2024.

Guests wishing to explore far and wide in 2025 have the possibility to book cabins aboard MSC Magnifica for the 2025 MSC World Cruise, with a stunning, brand-new itinerary that includes 50 amazing destinations in 21 different countries. Navigating the Med, Africa, South America, New Zealand, Australia, Asia and Red Sea before returning to Europe via Jordan and Egypt.

For those looking to plan ahead, sales for the 2026 MSC World Cruise on board MSC Magnifica departing in January 2026 are now open. The brand-new itinerary will visit 47 stunning destinations in 32 countries where guests will have the chance to discover some of Europe’s most renowned cities in Italy, France, Spain and Portugal before crossing to the Caribbean and Central America. From there, the ship will make her way to the USA West Coast before crossing the Pacific Ocean and exploring Asia. Guests will then return home via Greece.
