More From Murcia Tourism Board and the Spanish Tourism Office Media Trip

The packed itinerary on our media trip to the Costa Cálida region of Murcia as a guest of the Murcia Tourism Board and the Spanish Tourism Office in Dublin brought us to the mountain range of Sierra Espuña and its National Park which is known as the “green lung” of the Region of Murcia.

This protected area of beautiful imposing landscape boasts a huge range of vegetation and wildlife together with many sites of interest. Activities available include paragliding, rock climbing, trekking, cycling and birdwatching to name a few. Ecotourism experiences such as beekeeping, horseback riding and forest bathing are some of the popular activities.

We were entertained by Pepe an expert in the medicinal properties of plants which grow wild in the area. In front of us he concocted a potion to cure all cuts and wounds and he had a sample for everyone in the audience.
