Mission accomplished!

#Traveltradetogether

Travelbiz reporter at large, Marian Benton, was a guest of Etihad Airways at an exclusive screening of the latest Tom Cruise outing Mission Impossible:  Dead Reckoning, in the comfortable surroundings of the Odeon Point Square, North Wall.   Etihad are the official airline partner of the film with scenes shot on board their aircraft and the new state-of-the art Midfield Terminal in Abu Dhabi features in one of the film’s most thrilling action scenes.

Jason Kearns, Alex Keech and Callum Elsdon, Team Ireland Etihad Airways, warmly welcomed their travel trade guests and ensured everyone had an ample supply of popcorn, snacks and drinks.

Callum took a moment before the screening to tell us of the latest developments with Etihad Airways including a new route to Osaka and increased frequency to Kolkata, Jakarta and Bangkok.   There are expanded stopover options in Abu Dhabi and he was delighted to tell us that the A380 is returning to service from the 1st of August this year.

Etihad has new and improved tableware in economy with the emphasis on sustainability and an elevated business class experience includes exquisite Armani Casa table settings.

The really exciting news is that the eagerly awaited new Midfield Terminal will open by the end of the year.   Part of a multi-billion dollar expansion programme the terminal will have an annual handling capacity of over 45 million passengers and will provide seamless transitions through Abu Dhabi.

As for the film itself, running for two hours and forty-five minutes, we were all on the edge of our seats for the entire time. Thanks to Jason, Alex and Callum for a thrilling evening!
