CharlieCards, Don the tour Guide, Amazing Boston Tour, Culinary delights and more! Where everyone knows your name Cheers !!!!

Our Irish delegation of trade partners arrived in Aer Lingus style directly from Dublin to Logan International with Lynsey Lamont, Aer Lingus, Business Development Manager, leading the way with Tony Lane (Executive Director Woodstock Communications & Meet Boston Representative in Ireland).

Meet Boston had our private shuttle waiting as we departed the airport, with Pre Clearance in Dublin and Shannon making the process a seamless one as always, before making our way to the Godfrey Hotel, our downtown Boston home for the next 3 days. Rooted in the dynamic spirit of Downtown Crossing, The Godfrey Hotel Boston buzzes with energy, from the inviting, collaboration-friendly lobby and lounge to the renowned George Howell Coffee shop and the playful, eclectic RUKA Restobar. (Barry Loves this). Vibrant and versatile, chic yet approachable, The Godfrey Hotel Boston redefines the boutique hotel experience. From the moment you step through the1908 Gothic Revival façade, you experience a refined, yet relaxed ambiance designed to make you feel right at home, right in the heart of the city and only blocks away from Boston common. Well, someone has to do it!!!!!

Next on the agenda we made our way to meet Don (Our Visit Boston guide) for an unforgettable driving tour of Boston, where we got to delve into the city’s iconic architecture, vibrant neighbourhoods and rich history, both old and new. Along the journey, Don shared some captivating stories, intriguing trivia, and insider insights, offering a fresh and unique perspective on Boston’s cultural and historical treasures. This is a must for anyone visiting Boston for first time along with seasoned fans of this amazing city.

Our Meet Boston welcome pack included the invaluable CharlieCard, this again is a must when staying in Boston as it enables you to use the very efficient, clean and cost affective light rail system (Similar to the LUAS system in Dublin). CharlieCards are reusable cards that can be loaded with cash value or passes to pay bus and subway fares. CharlieCards are available at fare vending machines in most subway stations.

Our day and evening concluded with a Master Chef Class featuring all Trade Partners, with a Cooking Class & Dinner at PAGU with Chef Tracy Chang. What an amazing culinary experience. Our group Immersed into the flavours of Spain with a Spanish Tapas Demo at PAGU, led by the talented Chef Tracy Chang! This engaging, hands-on class guided us through crafting mouthwatering tapas from scratch. We go to enjoy delectable bites along the way, sipping on refreshing beverages. Perfect for both beginners and seasoned food lovers, this class delivered a delicious and inspiring evening with some of the Irish leaving us all breathless with their fine dining skills! Watch this space for more Barry and Tony
