Making a Difference

#Traveltradetogether

The theme for this year’s Worldchoice conference in November 2022 was ‘making a difference’ and that was evident from the moment delegates arrived on Friday evening to the conclusion on Sunday morning. The level of interaction, energy and pure delight to be back in ‘full on’ conference mode was so good and testament to the amazing job that Carol Anne O’Neill (Commercial Manger Worldchoice) has done bringing Worldchoice members, trade and media partners back together to do what we do best.

A number of delegates and trade partners took the opportunity to arrive on Friday evening and enjoy the very comfortable surroundings of the Fairways Hotel which is part of the INUA Collection of hotels in Ireland. The hotel provided the perfect facilitates and location for this year’s conference with a great presentation theatre, reception and break out area along with one of the finest dining and entertainment spaces available in the sector.

The Worldchoice conference lived up to all expectations and delivered on all fronts from delegate and trade partner registration to a beautiful breakfast sponsored by Bedsonline before making our way to the opening address from Carol Anne O’Neill (Commercial Manager Ireland).

Christian Schmelter (INUA Collection of Hotels) welcomed us all to the Fairways hotel, our home for the conference, and brought us though the full portfolio of their properties in Ireland.

There was great presentations and updates from Jennifer Callister and Michelle Ryan (Royal Caribbean). Al Dunbar (Sponsored by Royal Caribbean) delivered a full on fun and interactive presentation themed ‘You are the difference’. Followed by recruitment insights and a panel discussion with Barry Winkless (CPL Recruitment).

Suzanne Rowe (MSC Cruises Ireland) completed the presentation line up with a preview of the amazing MSC Europa which we will get to sample this weekend in Doha. Coffee breaks were sponsored by Olwen McKinney (Amadeus) during the day which also gave members and trade partners the opportunity to mingle and reconnect, before making their way to the networking session for the afternoon.
