Lufthansa Appoints New Vice President Sales

Julia Hillenbrand appointed Vice President Sales Europe, Middle East and Africa for Lufthansa Group Airlines.

Julia Hillenbrand has been appointed as the new Vice President Sales EMEA Lufthansa Group Airlines. Assuming responsibility for all commercial and sales activities across the Lufthansa Group airline brands across all European countries outside the home markets, the Middle East region and Africa (EMEA). In addition, Hillenbrand and her teams will manage and develop the global sales programs and the sales communication of the group worldwide.

Succeeding Lorenza Maggio who has been appointed to the Board of Directors of ITA Airways, Frank Naeve, Senior Vice President Sales & Distribution Lufthansa Group says: “Julia Hillenbrand is an extremely experienced and creative airline manager with a strong spirit for innovation and international business relations. With her great knowledge about the needs of our customers and stakeholders she will further strengthen the Lufthansa Group.”

Hillenbrand looks back on an extensive and successful international career within the Lufthansa Group. Since 2022 she has been responsible for brand and customer experience of SWISS, and from 2019 – 2022 she headed the sales division, initially for Spain & Portugal, and later for Western Europe as Senior Director Sales Western Europe. Prior to that, Hillenbrand held several different managing positions, including a regional role as Director Sales Products & Programs Asia Pacific in Singapore and leading the SWISS marketing and pricing team in London. Hillenbrand was born in Germany and holds a degree in International Business. She has lived in eleven countries and speaks six languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
