loveholidays recognises industry excellence at inaugural Partner Appreciation Awards

loveholidays’ hosted over 300 key suppliers at inaugural awards evening in London.

Online travel agent launches ‘Most Loved’ hotel awards based on 215,000+ customer reviews.

Special Recognition Awards honour partners’ exceptional commercial contribution.

loveholidays hosted its inaugural Partner Appreciation Awards last night (3rd November), honouring the flight, hotel and ancillary partners that fuel its unrivalled choice of great value holidays.

The fast-growing online travel agent welcomed over 300 partners to London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square in London, with the awards signalling its commitment to recognising excellence and strengthening relationships with its suppliers following a strong year of growth.

The company used the ceremony to launch its Most Loved Hotel Awards, recognising the hotels its customers love the most, based on genuine reviews from over 215,000 holidaymakers over the last 12 months.

Customers were asked to rate hotels on a variety of quality factors – covering facilities, cleanliness, food and drink, location, staff, location, expectations and value for money, with each hotel given an average score out of five.

The honoured hotels represent those that consistently create outstanding and memorable experiences for loveholidays’ customers.

The awards were presented across two categories of distinction:

  • The Most Loved in Destination honoured over 1,000 hotels across 40 destinations, representative of the top two percent in the OTA’s portfolio.
  • The exclusive Most Loved Worldwide accolade recognised 275 properties that achieved a near-perfect customer rating of 4.5 out of 5 or higher. This remarkable achievement places them among the elite top 0.6% of all hotels that loveholidays sells worldwide.

These properties will benefit from enhanced visibility on loveholidays’ platform, thanks to a new ‘Most Loved’ filter enabling loveholidays customers to search specifically for recognised hotels.

Special Recognition Awards were also presented to 38 partners on the night, including flight, ancillary and transfer suppliers, in recognition of their invaluable contributions to their joint success with loveholidays.

Donat Rétif, Chief Executive Officer at loveholidays, commented, “Our inaugural Partner Appreciation Awards recognise the fundamental role our partners play in ensuring our customers have holiday experiences they love. Working collaboratively with our hotels and airlines, we’ve expanded our offering to over 50,000 properties and flights from 140 carriers whilst maintaining the quality standards our customers expect.

“A huge congratulations to all of our winners and thank you for your continued support. We look forward to continuing to trailblaze the travel industry alongside you all.”

The online travel agent has significantly scaled its city break and long haul offering whilst doubling down on growing its core short haul beach product. In June, loveholidays entered its fifth market, The Netherlands, as part of its continued expansion strategy.

Holidaymakers can search and book loveholidays’ most-loved hotels here. The full list of special recognition award winners can be found here.
