Dinner in the Four Seasons Hotel (5*) luxe on a prime location riverside in Bangkok is not something to be easily forgotten. A little tour of Bill Bensley’s stunningly original collection, housed within the hotel, was the precursor to a sublime evening.

On this truly terrific trip on the Post Fam tour following the success of TTM, TAT treated us to another unique experience, walking the backstreets of Bangkok with one of TAT’s fabulous local guides, Suree. Being no stranger to Thailand, Jacinta from Travelbiz was nonetheless amazed once again at the diverse offerings from Amazing Thailand.

The walking tour was a brilliant window into real street life. The pavements swarmed with fruit sellers, hawkers and then gawkers like us! Suree brought us to a small restaurant, famous for duck (in all its flapping, feathery form) – one that only locals know, Utterly delicious food. Out into the searing heat again and Suree bought us fresh mangosteen, sliced pear (which we dipped in chilli salt – don’t knock it till you try it), rambutan and lychees.

Bangkok street art is now a thing and its funky and gorgeous. Quirky and bang on trend , walls and houses are brightly pained and look just extraordinary. Check out the surrounds of the French Embassy – pure genius. Some super cool galleries are springing up too, so Bangkok is becoming a collector’s paradise. A must visit is Goldie’s Aurum Gallery in Bangkok. Fantastic. Finally, cocktails in a real Bohemian bar on the river Chayo Praya with riverboats scudding by was kinda romantic! Thank you Tourist Authority of Thailand.
