Jamaica x Magical Mas 2.0: Jamaica Tourist Board Returns to Notting Hill — Bigger Than Ever

The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is returning to Notting Hill Carnival 2026 with Magical Mas, and this year, they’re going bigger. For the second year running, JTB will be masquerading in full costume with the Magical Mas Carnival Band at Europe’s largest street festival as it marks its 60th anniversary – a landmark edition that draws an estimated two million people to the streets of West London each August Bank Holiday weekend.

On Monday, 31 August 2026, revelers are invited to join the Jamaica Tourist Board on the road as Magical Mas 2.0 takes over the streets. Building on a landmark debut year, the partnership returns with extravagant costumes, an expanded lineup, and the kind of true Carnival energy that feels right at home in a 60th anniversary year.

This years’ experience promises to be iconic, with a host of special guests confirmed to jump with the band. TV presenter and DJ Tyler West, actress and presenter Molly Rainford will all be joining JTB and Magical Mas in costume on the day, bringing their energy and genuine passion for Caribbean culture to the road. The trio joins a growing line of talent championing the JTB’s carnival vision. Last year, the partnership was joined by Love Island star Indiyah Polack, who brought her own Caribbean roots to the celebration.

“Notting Hill Carnival is one of the greatest expressions of Caribbean culture outside of Jamaica. It’s a great opportunity for us to connect people to the island, whether they are part of our Diaspora looking to feel closer to home, or someone who has never visited but is curious about what the island has to offer. Magical Mas gives us the perfect stage to showcase the spirit of Carnival in Jamaica on the streets of London, and we want as many people as possible to join us on the road,” says Minister of Tourism, Hon Edmund Bartlett.

The partnership is about more than extravagant costumes and famous faces. It is a celebration of Carnival in Jamaica, a season that transforms the island every spring into one of the Caribbean’s most sought-after party destinations. From Kingston to Montego Bay, the pulsating soca beats, the all-inclusive fetes, and the breathtaking costume reveals have made Jamaica’s carnival one of the most exhilarating events on the global travel calendar.

“We are building on the strong momentum started last year and the participation of travel agents in Carnival in Jamaica this year will help to boost the messaging to book a ticket to Jamaica for the 2027 staging,” said Elizabeth Fox, Regional Director, UK, Ireland and Nordics, Jamaica Tourist Board.

For Magical Mas, the partnership is an opportunity to bring their community-driven ethos to an even bigger stage.

“Last year was electric, and this year we are taking everything to a whole new level. Magical Mas 2.0 is bigger, bolder, and more vibrant than ever. Our band is about community, culture, and pure vibes, and when you add Jamaica’s incredible spirit into the mix, the result is something truly special. We can’t wait to see everyone on the road on 31 August,” says Arnaldo Pierre, Magical Mas Carnival Band.
