Jamaica Celebrates 70 Years with a Carnival Takeover at Notting Hill 2025 – Here’s How You Can Get Involved

#Traveltradetogether

In celebration of its 70th anniversary, the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is proud to announce its participation in Notting Hill Carnival 2025, joining the road with the Magical Mas Carnival Band. This milestone year presents a significant opportunity to recognise the Jamaica Tourist Board’s pivotal role in shaping and elevating the island’s identity through its distinctive culture and enduring national spirit.

Celebrating in full colour – Carnival in Jamaica 2025

As part of the celebrations, the JTB invites members of the Jamaican diaspora, friends of Jamaica, and Carnival lovers to help commemorate 70 years of showcasing Jamaica to the world at one of the UK’s most iconic cultural events.

In partnership with Magical Mas Carnival Band will bring the vibrant spirit of Jamaican Carnival to Notting Hill—an immersive experience featuring pulsating music, dazzling costumes, bold Jamaican flavours, and the unmistakable energy of the island. This collaboration also sets the stage to promote the Carnival in Jamaica 2026 celebration in Kingston.

“Notting Hill Carnival is the perfect stage to celebrate the Jamaica Tourist Board’s 70th anniversary. It brings together our diaspora and friends of Jamaica in the heart of London to experience the island’s unmatched energy, music, and spirit. Through our partnership with Magical Mas, we’re proud to not only honour our past but also build excitement for Carnival in Jamaica 2026,” says Elizabeth Fox, Regional Director UK & Northern Europe, Jamaica Tourist Board.

Carnival in Jamaica is a high-energy celebration of music, culture, and freedom that takes over the island every April. With vibrant costumes, Soca and dancehall beats, and non-stop parties, it’s a uniquely Jamaican take on Caribbean Carnival. More than just an event, it’s a vibe, where locals and visitors unite to dance in the streets and feel the spirit of the island come alive.

In addition to the Notting Hill Carnival Road celebration, the Jamaica Tourist Board and Magical Mas will collaborate on a series of events throughout the year, kicking off with The Magical Soirée – 20 July. This premium brunch experience will take place at Cavendish Banqueting Hall, Edgware Road, London. The evening will include a full three-course meal with Caribbean dining options and top DJs offering guests a lively yet relaxed setting to enjoy the sounds, tastes, and energy of Jamaica ahead of the big day on the 25th August. Tickets available here. The fun continues throughout Notting Hill Carnival week with the No Rules Fete on 22 August, and Big People Garden on 31 August.

Join the Jamaica Tourist Board and Magical Mas in celebrating a historic moment at Notting Hill Carnival 2025 in London on Monday, 25 August.
