In Memory of Cormac Walsh

It is with deep sadness that all of us at Travelbiz and Travelfinders share the news of the passing of our esteemed travel colleague, Cormac Walsh, Founder and Managing Director of JWT Sports and a proud member of the JWT Travel family.

Cormac, together with his brothers David and Barry, carried forward the remarkable legacy of their father, Joe Walsh (RIP) — a true pioneer of the Irish travel industry and founder of Joe Walsh Tours in 1961. Over the years, Joe Walsh Tours became a cornerstone of the Irish travel trade, nurturing countless careers and setting the benchmark for service and integrity within our industry.

Under Cormac’s leadership, JWT Travel continued to evolve and adapt to the changing needs of the market. Through the establishment of JWT Sports, he created a dynamic link between travel and sport, leading the company to become the official travel partner of Leinster Rugby and other prestigious organisations.

For Cormac and his family, travel was far more than a business — it was a lifelong passion, deeply rooted in tradition and driven by a commitment to excellence. His leadership, warmth, and contribution to the Irish travel community will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

On behalf of everyone at Travelbiz and Travelfinders, we extend our sincere condolences to the Walsh family, the JWT team, his friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May he rest in peace, Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam
