Happy Birthday Travel Department!

Celebrating 30 years of excellence in the travel industry, Travel Department today hosted a lovely lunch in the National Concert Hall in Dublin to thank staff and media for ongoing support.

Founder Bob Haugh brought us on his amazing journey from humble beginnings to creating what is now an iconic brand in Ireland. Bob saw a niche in the market for group holidays, escorted trips, solo holidays and special interest trips and his company grew exponentially over the last 30 years. He puts his success down to hard work, great itineraries, super staff and customer loyalty.

Bravo Bob.

Travel Department has not stood still and today, with the dynamic Claire Doherty as Commercial Manager and James Coughlan as CEO, the company continues to thrive, push forward and broaden horizons. Incredible trips across the world are now available through Travel Department, so the world really can be your oyster.

A chapter in Active Holidays is also being rejuvenated with Stephen Power at the helm and the inclusion of hiking holidays in Albania, yoga experiences in India and quiet luxury on the French Riviera are all on the agenda. Can’t wait!

A new partnership has even been forged between Travel Department and the National Concert Hall too. A strange alliance you might think, but both companies offer stunning cultural and shared experiences. Making memories…..

Congratulations Travel Department. Continued success and here’s to the next 30 years!
