GTI Travel Battlefields Tour of Flanders & The Somme

GTI Travel, established by Derek Keogh in 2003, is one of Ireland’s foremost group travel specialists and promotes life long learning through travel, operating and selling exclusively to the Irish market. They provide educational tours in three main sectors for (A)schools, (B) adult groups and (C) bespoke tailor made tours. Additionally GTI Travel is Ireland’s leading agricultural tour specialist.

The company has created itineraries that offer the perfect balance of educational visits, enjoyable excursions, amazing sights combined with free time to relax, explore and enjoy at leisure. Their tailor made tours are aimed at special interest groups whether it’s leisure, history, corporate, sports, agriculture, music, charity, youth or simply a group of friends wishing to travel together with the trip designed around the group’s interest and budget.

GTI Travel is especially well known for its unique Battlefield Tours that bring you through some of the most significant combat sites in European history as well as to important memorials, gravesites and breathtaking museums. The tours are accompanied by passionate historian guides who are recognised as the best guides in the business. We all know from experience that a great guide makes a tour great. While the Battlefield Tours are geared towards history fans they are an enjoyable experience for everyone as they visit incredible locations and there is plenty of time to explore local attractions and even catch up on some shopping.

Declan Mescall (Features Editor Travelbiz) has been invited by GTI Travel to experience one of their 3 day Battlefield Tours of Flanders & The Somme. Stay tuned to Travelbiz for full details of the trip over the coming days.
