Finnair boosts ‘sun-sational’ winter sun schedule
Extra flights added to Dubai and Thailand.
Finnair, the flag carrier of Finland, has unveiled a boosted schedule to Asia this coming winter, giving customers great access to their favourite winter sun destinations.
This winter, the Nordic airline will increase its Helsinki to Phuket route to daily, up from four times per week last winter, as it reinforces its presence in Thailand and existing double daily Bangkok service.
The increased service will give customers seamless access to one of Thailand’s most popular destinations, home to some of the world’s finest beaches and a highly popular winter sun hotspot.
Services between Helsinki and Phuket restart for the winter season on 2 November 2024, initially operating once per week, before increasing to five times per week in December and then to daily from January 2025.
Flights are scheduled to depart Helsinki at 16:35 each day, arriving in Phuket at 09:00 the following morning. On the return, flights depart at 10:45, arriving into Finnair’s home hub at 18:05 in the evening.
As part of the expansion, the airline will also now offer daily direct flights to Dubai, giving greater access to the Middle East and beyond.
Known for its ultra-modern skyline, golden beaches and family-fuelled attractions, Dubai offers travellers a world-class luxury travel experience.
The new flights, operated by the carrier’s long-haul Airbus fleet, are an increase from the three weekly frequencies available last winter, meaning customers can top up their tan with ease.
Customers looking for a winter escape can book return flights from London to Phuket from as little as £776 return in Economy, including taxes and charges, while return flights to Dubai start at £493 in Economy.
These increases complement Finnair’s existing flights to Asia, including services to Bangkok, Delhi, Doha, Hong Kong, Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo-Haneda, Tokyo-Narita, Seoul, Shanghai and Singapore.
