Enda leaves Emirates

#Traveltradetogether

Breaking news in September 2022 as we learned of the imminent departure of Enda Corneille as Country Manager for Emirates after eight very successful and at times challenging years.

Enda spoke to Don Shearer (Travelbiz) following his announcement and made it very clear that he is taking time out when he departs his role in October to take stock and decide upon the next chapter in his career. It was not an easy decision for Enda to make but feels he is leaving at the right time having managed the brand and business in Ireland through the toughest two years in our Industry and leaves now with a full restoration of the double daily service with Emirates to Dubai from Dublin.

Enda has built a huge network of travel industry colleagues and friends over the years following a long and successful career in Aer Lingus before creating a path back to the airline industry where he took up the role as Country Manager for Emirates in 2014.

Enda said, “After 8 wonderful years with Emirates, with the worst effects of the pandemic behind us and the double daily flight now restored, I’ve decided this is the right time to say farewell and embark on a new chapter”.

“It has been an honour to have worked for Emirates in Ireland and I am immensely proud of all we have achieved. It has been a special privilege to work with the brilliant Emirates Ireland team and I would like to thank each of them for all the support they have given me”.

“While I haven’t quite decided what the next chapter will look like, I’m sure aviation will feature in there somewhere”!

On behalf of all the Travelbiz team, our trade partners, followers and subscribers, I would like to wish Enda continued success and have no doubt he will continue to fly to even greater heights. You will be sorely missed for now!
