Emirates responds to latest weather warning – this is your sign

Another day, another weather warning.  If you’re still battling sideways rain and rain-drenched clothes – consider this your sign.  While Ireland braces itself for yet more wet weather, it’s no wonder that the national conversation has shifted to holidays and blue skies.

For Irish holidaymakers in search of sunshine right now, Anita Thomas, Country Manager for Emirates in Ireland, has done the hard work.  With the inside track on what’s hot and what’s not, Anita has rounded up five fabulous destinations offering a welcome escape from the gloom.

Dubai Anantara the Palm The Beach
  1. Dubai – fly direct from Dublin to sunny, cosmopolitan Dubai, where it’s a beautifully sunny 26o
  2. Perth – the Irish in Perth are currently enjoying the hot weather – it’s 32in Western Australia
  3. It’s hot hot hot in Bangkok and holidaymakers are loving the clear skies and temperatures in the 30s. Bliss.
  4. If you prefer to holiday in more moderate climes, Hong Kong is a very pleasant 19o
  5. In Sri Lanka, it’s a balmy 31o – but there is a chance of rain, which might help you feel a little better about the current Irish weather
