Emirates Pilot Recruitment Roadshows in Dublin
Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, is intensifying its recruitment efforts and is hosting a pilot recruitment roadshow in Dublin this month to meet a surge in demand both from Irish and international markets. More than 450,000 customers flew the Dublin-Dubai route in 2023 and Emirates’ Passenger numbers rose by 19% to nearly 52M1 last year and to support expanding operations, the airline is seeking experienced commercial pilots from Ireland to join its global team.
The roadshow will take place on 22 and 23 September at 10am at The Clayton Hotel, Charlemont St. Saint Kevin’s, D02 H9C1. No prior registration is required and pilots only need to attend one session.
This event presents an exciting opportunity for Irish pilots to explore career opportunities with one of the world’s most prestigious airlines. Emirates recently announced significant changes to its pilot recruitment, including higher salaries, new roles, and a revamp of its eligibility criteria. The airline is recruiting for four programmes: Direct Entry Captains, Accelerated Command, and First Officers, both Type Rated and Non-Type Rated.
Attendees will receive detailed information about Emirates’ recruitment process, available roles, training programmes, and career paths. Pilots currently flying with Emirates will also be present to share their experiences. For more information, visit https://www.emiratesgroupcareers.com/pilots/.
Anita Thomas, Emirates’ Country Manager for Ireland, commented: “Irish pilots have a long-standing tradition of excellence, and we’re offering them the chance to be part of our growing team. Emirates pilots fly one of the youngest and most modern all-wide-body fleets, serving over 140 destinations worldwide. We look forward to welcoming more Irish pilots onboard as we expand our operations globally.”
Flying with Emirates: A Gateway to Global Adventures
With a network spanning six continents, Emirates offers pilots the opportunity to explore diverse destinations. As the airline retrofits an additional 71 Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s, its commitment to maintaining the youngest and most modern fleet continues, ensuring pilots fly the best aircraft in the skies.
Emirates is on a significant growth trajectory, with the first of its 10 A350s set to arrive this year, followed by the highly anticipated Boeing 777Xs in 2025. For Irish pilots, this means being part of an airline that combines cutting-edge technology with one of the most extensive global route networks.
Why Irish Pilots Should Consider Emirates
For Irish pilots and their families, Emirates offers an attractive package that includes a competitive tax-free salary, 42 days of annual leave, a generous accommodation and education allowance, comprehensive medical benefits, and discounted travel for extended family and friends. Emirates pilots are based in Dubai, a vibrant city known for its safety, innovation, and as a hub for international culture and sports, making it a fantastic destination for families.
Unmatched Training Opportunities
Emirates provides new pilots with robust, evidence- and competency-based in-house training at its advanced facilities in Dubai, which includes 10 simulators. The airline is also building a new, state-of-the-art pilot training center, set to open later this year. This investment reflects Emirates’ commitment to providing the best training for its pilots, ensuring they are equipped to handle the latest aircraft in the fleet.
Direct Entry Captain and Accelerated Command Opportunities
Experienced Irish pilots can apply for the Direct Entry Captain program to command the highly anticipated A350 or A380 fleet. For Airbus and Boeing Captains currently commanding narrow-body aircraft, Emirates offers an Accelerated Command Programme, allowing them to advance their careers with enhanced salary packages and the opportunity to command wide-body aircraft after meeting specific criteria.
First Officer Opportunities for Non-Type Rated Pilots
Emirates is also welcoming First Officers who are non-type rated, offering them comprehensive training to transition to wide-body aircraft. This is a unique opportunity for Irish pilots with experience on turbo props or jets to advance their careers and be part of Emirates’ growing fleet.
Candidates for all roles must meet specific criteria, including multi-engine, multi-crew aircraft experience, a valid ICAO ATPL, and a minimum of 2,000 flight hours. For more details on the requirements and benefits of each role, visit https://www.emiratesgroupcareers.com/pilots/.
