Emirates make the cut! As Official Partner of DP World Tour, Emirates Anita Thomas (Country Manager Ireland) issues a wonderful invitation to 2024 Amgen Irish Open at Royal County Down. Jacinta from Travelbiz meets golfing heroes, world class professionals, famous faces and great travel and media buddies on this exciting day out. Emirates corporate hospitality is legendary and Friday was no exception. Swanning through the Championship Pavilion is special.

Our Emirates team of Lisa, Fillippo and Eimear, headed up by Anita, are simply the best hosts. Friendly, generous and gregarious, this team is surely number one. Breakfast is followed by lunch and with afternoon tea hot on its heels, there’s barely time (ahem) to get on the course to cheer our heroes.

Where the mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea, Royal County Down is one of the world’s best golf courses and presents a challenge to even the most seasoned and hardy players. Of course (no pun intended), our very own Rory Mc Elroy, Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington and Seamus Power participate and eager crowds are right behind them. The weather behaves itself and, despite a frisky wind, the velvety greens, broad fairways, golden sand dunes (a lot of rough!) and blue skies overhead add to an extraordinary golfing and spectator experience.
