Dublin Airport to serve up 23 New & Improved Food & Drink Outlets for Passengers
New Irish, Italian, Thai, Korean, Mexican & Asian Options For Passengers. Supermacs, Papa John’s, Pret A Manger & Bluebird Coffee Set To Open. Latest New Openings Complete 5-Year F&B Transformation.
Dublin Airport has announced details of an exciting overhaul of the food and drink offerings in both of its terminals which will result in more than 20 new and improved bars, cafes and restaurants for passengers.
The latest changes are the final piece in the jigsaw of a five-year journey to transform the food and beverage options available to passengers at Dublin Airport and mean there are now a total of 42 different outlets available across the two terminals, providing choice for all taste buds and at a range of price points.
The latest transformation will be carried out in partnership with KSG, Ireland’s leading food services and hospitality specialist, and the internationally renowned operator Lagardère Travel Retail over the course of 2024. Work started on several units this week and will continue either side of the busy summer period, with more than half of the new and revamped units opening by June.
The revamp will see a host of exciting new arrivals into both terminals at Dublin Airport, both airside and landside.
Among the mouth-watering new brands arriving at Dublin Airport over the coming months will be Supermacs, Papa John’s, Insomnia Coffee and Pret A Manger, while existing outlets such as Butler’s Chocolate Cafe, Burger King and Jump Juice are all set to add to their existing presence in the terminals with enhanced outlets both airside and landside.
According to Vincent Harrison, Chief Commercial and Development Officer at daa, the operator of Dublin Airport: “Passengers are in for a treat in 2024 with a whole host of exciting new additions and improvements to the already fantastic line-up of bars and eating places in Dublin Airport. These enhancements build on the many new outlets we have opened and improved in the terminals over recent years, which are going down very well with passengers. We’ve listened closely to passengers and have heard loud and clear that they want more choice, including more gluten-free options, and by working with our partners, we are going to offer them more variety than ever before. Passengers will soon be able to enjoy everything from Italian, Asian and Mexican outlets through to loved local favourites and up-and-coming Irish brands. We look forward to working closely with both KSG, which is based just down the road from the airport, and Lagardère Travel Retail, on the rollout of these new and improved outlets over the next 12 months.”

What’s In Store For Terminal 1?
The upcoming changes will see the creation of a new world class food hall in Terminal 1, introducing new Korean and Thai street food options, a new Arthur Guinness Bar, and a new large Italian restaurant – serving up delicious freshly made pizzas, pasta as well as gelato, crepes and waffles.
Also coming into the food hall in 2024 will be a number of well-known local and international brands such as Pret A Manger, a revamped Nomad offering lots of choice for vegetarians, Street Kitchen, offering authentic Mexican street food with the addition of Cantina, a Mexican bar, and Bluebird Coffee Roasters and Wine Bar, which will replace the former Starbucks outlet, which closed at the end of December.
The improvements being made in Terminal 1 will extend to the gates, with the popular Jump Juice bar on Pier 100 being made bigger, better and juicier than ever before, while a new Cuan Cafe and Bar will be introduced at the 200 gates in the place of the existing Leopold outlet.
At the 300 gates in Terminal 1, the existing SoMa outlet will be replaced by a new restaurant called Lilian’s Restaurant and Bar, named after aviation pioneer Lilian Bland. Landside in T1, a new Insomnia Coffee outlet will soon open in the Arrivals Hall, replacing the former AMT coffee outlet.
What’s In Store For Terminal 2?
Further improvements are planned in T2 this year, following the successful opening of The Mezz last summer.
A knock-out addition in Terminal 2 landside will be the new Fitzgerald’s Restaurant and Bar – a blend of Boutique Hotel Foyer meets Classic Club VIP Lounge. The outlet, named after Desmond Fitzgerald, the architect responsible for the design of the original Dublin Airport terminal, will occupy the space currently home to the Oak Bar.
Another new addition in T2 landside will be a Supermacs and Papa John’s restaurant, which will move into the space previously occupied by Wright’s of Howth. Meanwhile, a new coffee shop called Roasted Notes Speciality Coffee will open in Terminal 2 landside in the unit previously occupied by Cafe Nero.
Elsewhere, the existing Butler’s coffee shops in both T1 and T2 are set to be made bigger and better.
