Don Checks in with Blaithin as we get ready to take off with Air Canada

#TRAVELTRADETOGETHER

To celebrate this week’s news that Canada is lifting restrictions on 28 February in relation to border and vaccination restrictions (See our Facebook post for details). Don took the opportunity to catch up with Blaithin O’Donnell (Sales Manager Air Canada Ireland) and present her with our Travelbiz 2022 Bounce back Diary.

Blaithin and Bernadette will be updating you all on Travelbiz with the latest updates and exciting trade focused opportunities so stay tuned as we all get back to what we do best.

From the 28th Feb:

  • Advance testing for vaccinated travellers can be a choice of advance rapid antigen test within a day of departure flight or a PCR within 72 hours of departure. (Previously only PCR allowed)
  • On arrival testing with quarantine will be random and those selected for random testing don’t need to quarantine while awaiting results. (Most travellers currently tested on arrival and need to home quarantine 3-6 days while awaiting results)
  • Under 12s do not need to be vaccinated and as long as they are travelling with vaccinated adults they do not need to quarantine on arrival.
  • Only fully vaccinated non-Canadians can enter Canada (same as before)
