Dedicated Travel Centres Malta Fam in partnership with Visit Malta & Aer Lingus

‘’Eight lucky Travel Centres agents enjoyed the hospitality of Visit Malta and Aer Lingus on a recent action packed 3-day trip to Malta & Gozo when they were wined and dined whilst being introduced to all that these wonderful Mediterranean islands have to offer. Malta has long been a firm favourite with Irish tourists. With Aer Lingus operating regular services three times a week, a new generation of discerning Irish travellers are about to discover what all the fuss is about.

Located just 3.5 hours flying time from Ireland in the southern Mediterranean – just below Sicily – Malta has been home at various stages throughout its colourful and eventful history to the Romans, Greeks,  Phoenicians, Carthaginians,  Arabs, Ottomans, French and British and has the castles, fortresses and other historic buildings to show for it. With an average yearly temperature of 73 F and enjoying 300 days of sunshine a year, Malta has a lot to offer the Irish sunseeker all year round but particularly between April and November. The locals all speak English in addition to their own native language of Maltese, and everyone drives on the left so Malta is the perfect destination for anyone wanting to hire a car for the first time whilst on holiday abroad.

In addition to experiencing the wonderful neighbouring island of Gozo and its capital Victoria (known to the Maltese as Rabat), the Travel Centres agency contingent enjoyed a memorable picnic amidst the salt pans of Gozo, the world-renowned and spectacular St John’s Co-Cathedral, stunning Valetta and the three cities (navigated through in conjunction with Rolling Geeks’ unique electric buggies), stunning Mdina, gourmet-quality lunches in a host of amazing restaurants including Liska — a go-to eatery for seafood lovers in the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk.’’
