Cruisescapes with NCL Prima in Miami

#Traveltradetogether

Eleanor Morton (Cruisescapes) sent Travelbiz this great report from NCL Prima in Miami.

After her Christening in Iceland at the end of the summer, Norwegian’s newest ship, Prima, embarked on a series of European voyages before heading Stateside for the winter season. Norwegian Cruise lines hosted a series of inaugural sailings onboard for their American agents and special invited guests and Travel Escapes was lucky enough to be amongst them.

Eleanor (Cruisescapes) enjoyed 3 nights onboard, experiencing all this innovative ship has to offer, and all under the bright Bahamian sun, as Prima made her way from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas.

Many Irish agents got to enjoy Prima, during her Christening and subsequent sailings, but it really is under the warm sun when Prima’s amazing outdoor spaces really come into their own. The luxuriously padded swing chairs and loungers just call out for you to kick back and relax while enjoying one of the many cocktails in Prima’s on tap range, available on tap in all bars.

During the one sea day, guests were invited to panel discussions covering the Prima experience, followed by a panel hosted by sales and marketing leadership on maximizing our Partnership, and how agents stand to benefit from the recent announcement regarding commission on Ncf’s.

The highlight of the trip was the visit to Great Stirrup Cay. The Island offers a wealth of activities for guests of all ages and activity levels, from Zip lining high over the public beaches, to snorkelling in their underwater sculpture park. Highly recommend is the swim with the piggies excursion. Following a short boat ride to a neighbouring Island, you get to swim with the pigs in the crystal-clear waters and for anyone willing, you can also indulge in a piggy lap dance or trotter back massage.

Gary Anslow (Senior Director Sales, UK and Ireland NCL) and Melissa Renyard (Partnership Relations Co-ordinator) from the UK office, were on hand to assist throughout the trip, and hosted a few lucky agents in an exclusive villa in the silver cove resort on the Island. The one-bedroom villa includes access to the silver cove lagoon, villa beach, private restaurant and the Moet bar. Villas are available for anyone to hire on a first come first served basis, and are definitely worth the investment, especially for a group travelling together and spreading the cost.

Thanks so much Eleanor for sharing this with Travelbiz and love the Piggies.
