Congratulations Helena Crowley for making “Our Hero Robbie” and CUH golf day a Memorable classic

#Travelbizconnect #Traveltradetogether

The “Our Hero Robbie” and CUH Golf Fundraiser took place yesterday in Monkstown Golf Club and what a day and night it was. Organised by Helena Crowley the focus was to raise as much money as possible for The Robbie Smart Fund and the CUH Physio unit who nursed Helena and got her to walk again after spending 5 months in their care.

The Travel trade attended in great numbers to support Helena along with friends, colleagues and members from Monkstown golf club. Over 50 golfers took to the fairways before heading for a night of great fun, memories and the opportunity to win some amazing prizes.

With 15 amazing prizes won on the night Helena would like to thank all sponsors including Shannon Airport, Bookabed, Blue Insurance, Amadeus, Topflight, Etihad, Lee Travel, Irish Ferries, Emirates, TUI Ireland, Nebo Tours, Egyptair and the Star Prize on the night supplied by Virgin Atlantic, Bedsonline and Universal Studio passes from Dosomethingdifferent.com, flights and accommodation for two weeks in Florida!!!!

The star prize on the night was won by Niall Mc Donnell from Killiney Travel who pledged to bring his Shannon Airport Golf Team to Orlando as a treat for playing so well on the day! Delcan Power, Don Shearer, Niall Mc Donnell and Peter O’Hanlon (Team Shannon Airport) are Florida bound.

Team Tui Ireland and Team Olwen McKinney (Amadeus) featured in the golf team prizes and ensured all the champagne that was won was consumed on the night as we celebrated the life of Robbie and continue to ensure the Robbie Smart foundation is supported in all that we do.

A big thankyou to Helena and all of our valued trade partners and those who supported the fundraiser on the day. Travelbiz would also like to acknowledge Con Horgan for his 65 years of service and leadership in our Industry as he plans his retirement this year. #Legend
