CLIA and Ambassador team up to offer agents one-night UK sailing

CLIA and Ambassador Cruise Line have arranged their first ever onboard event for the trade. CLIA member travel agents have the opportunity to join a special one-night departure, sailing on Ambition from Newcastle to Tilbury, on November 22.

Delegates confirmed on the sailing can attend an exclusive trends and insight session onboard, hosted by expert sales adviser, Debbee Dale, and CLIA’s trade membership and events manager, Adele Fitzpatrick-Foster. The session will include advice on how agents can maximise demand before, during and after the upcoming ‘Wave’ period.

Delegates will also receive:

* An overnight oceanview cabin

* Lunch on arrival

* Five-course evening meal

* Breakfast on departure day

In addition, Ambassador will offer a post-cruise coach from Tilbury to Newcastle.

The cruise line was confirmed as a member of CLIA last month, with the partnership intended to enhance Ambassador’s brand awareness across the industry. The overnight event is the first in a series of joint initiatives that will be announced.

Andy Harmer, CLIA UK & Ireland managing director, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Ambassador for the first time on this special sailing. We’re offering agents a host of practical learning opportunities, as well as the chance to experience one of Ambassador’s ships first-hand including their fantastic dining and entertainment. We can’t wait to welcome the trade onboard.”

Nicola Harper. Ambassador Head of Distribution, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting CLIA member travel agents onboard Ambition in November to enjoy the ‘warmest welcome at sea’ and combine this with some valuable training ahead of the Wave season. We know there is nothing like seeing and experiencing a product first-hand, and the team is really looking forward to showcasing our brilliant, affordable-quality offering during this one-night sailing.”

Applications will open shortly. For further information, go to cruising.org
