Celebration by Finnair of “Decade at Dublin” at the Finnish Ambassador’s Residence

#Traveltradetogether

The Ambassador of Finland, H.E. Ms Leena Gardemeister as well as Anssi Partanen, Finnair’s Marketing Director, UK and Ireland hosted an exclusive celebration at the very stylish Finnish Ambassador’s Residence on Shrewsbury Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin. The occasion was organised to celebrate a decade of Finnair direct flights between Dublin and Helsinki, the capital of Finland and gateway to the Nordics and Asia.

Traditional food and drinks from Finland were served throughout the evening and very unusually guests were able to enjoy a traditional Finnish sauna, but your travel writer, Travelbiz Features Editor Declan Mescall, was too comfortably ensconced in the luxury of the residence main reception room and couldn’t be inveigled upon to partake.

Guests were invited to take part in a quiz where the grand prize was two Finnair return tickets to Helsinki.

The Dublin- Helsinki route began as a seasonal summer service but due to its popularity it quickly developed into year-round and now operates 10 flights weekly. Finnair is a member of the Oneworld Alliance and is represented in Ireland by ATTS- Travel Representation Solutions headed by Catherine Grennell-Whyte Managing Director.
