Celebrating the Future Leaders of the Travel Industry

ITAA and Positive2Work Skillnet congratulate graduates.

Graduates of the Leadership Excellence in the Travel Industry programme were presented with their qualifications at a graduation ceremony in the Shelbourne Hotel. The programme was developed by Positive2Work Skillnet in association with the Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) and travel experts, with the intention of building a course relevant to the travel industry.

The Leadership Excellence in the Travel Industry programme focuses on the development of industry specific essential skills in leadership, finance, digitalisation, sustainability and the use of artificial intelligence as a business tool.

Presenting the graduates with their certificates, ITAA President Tom Randles, said: “Feedback from participants and employers alike has been extremely positive regarding the Leadership Excellence in the Travel Industry programme. The ITAA is immensely proud of this group of graduates, the third cohort since the Programme commenced, and their hard work over the past two months. Their accomplishments highlight the talent and potential of the next wave of travel industry leaders. We look forward to seeing the new perspectives they bring to their careers, and we’re proud to lead initiatives that strengthen the future of our industry.”

Providing cutting-edge, industry-relevant training that empowers and strengthens the workforce is a core focus for Positive2Work Skillnet. This successful collaboration between Postive2work Skillnet and the Irish Travel Agents Association underscores our commitment to fostering leadership excellence in SME sectors such as the travel industry.”

Clare Dunne, ITAA CEO, added, “The ITAA welcomes our partnership with Positive2Work Skillnet in providing this Industry-Specific Leadership Programme for ITAA members. The ITAA is proud to have our third group of delegates graduate from the programme and see how the course has helped the development of their Leadership Skills while equipping them with relevant Industry specific knowledge.”
