Bangkok – The Perfect Finale to a Magical Thailand Journey
There couldn’t have been a better way to round off our incredible Thailand adventure than with a few unforgettable days in the vibrant capital, Bangkok.

Our final chapter began with lunch at Bangkok’s brand-new Hawker Centre, which only opened its doors in April 2026. Inspired by the famous hawker culture of Southeast Asia, it’s already becoming one of the city’s must-visit food destinations, bringing together authentic Thai flavours and regional street food favourites under one roof.
From there, we enjoyed one of Bangkok’s most scenic urban walks, crossing the beautiful Green Bridge that links the peaceful Lumphini Park with the stunning wetlands and skyline views of Benjakitti Forest Park. It’s hard to believe you’re in the middle of one of Asia’s busiest cities.

Our home for the final leg was the spectacular Park Hyatt Bangkok, a luxury sanctuary in the heart of the city’s premier shopping and business district. Sitting above the iconic Central Embassy, the hotel blends sophisticated contemporary design with subtle Thai influences. My spacious King Deluxe Room offered floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views across Bangkok’s skyline, luxurious marble bathrooms, elegant furnishings and every comfort you’d expect from one of the city’s finest five-star hotels. Throughout our stay, the service was exceptional—warm, attentive and effortlessly professional.

The afternoon took us into Bangkok’s fascinating old trading quarters, wandering through centuries-old streets filled with hidden temples, colourful markets, street art and independent cafés, stopping for an excellent local coffee before continuing our exploration.
As the sun began to set, we headed to the riverside for cocktails at BARBON, where the golden light reflected across the Chao Phraya River provided the perfect backdrop before one of the culinary highlights of the trip.

Dinner was at Khao San Sek, created by the internationally acclaimed Chef Pam, named The World’s Best Female Chef in both 2024 and 2025. Every course celebrated modern Thai cuisine with incredible creativity, precision and flavour. Watch this space to see if she makes it three years in a row!
The following morning brought one final surprise—a visit to Bang Krachao, affectionately known as “The Green Lung of Bangkok.” Just a short boat ride from the city centre, this remarkable island feels like stepping into another world. Cycling through elevated pathways surrounded by tropical jungle, local communities, canals and nature offered a completely different perspective of Bangkok that many visitors never experience.

Lunch at the charming Bangkok Tree House was equally memorable. Nestled amongst the trees overlooking the river, this eco-conscious retreat served fresh local cuisine in a wonderfully peaceful setting, making it the perfect place to relax before returning to the city.

To bring our magical Thailand experience to a close, we gathered for a hosted farewell dinner at the Penthouse Bar + Grill back at the Park Hyatt Bangkok. From the spectacular rooftop views across the glittering city skyline to the outstanding food, expertly crafted cocktails and impeccable hospitality, it was the perfect setting to reflect on an unforgettable journey.

Thailand has once again reminded us why it remains one of the world’s most captivating destinations—rich in culture, exceptional cuisine, genuine hospitality and experiences that stay with you long after you’ve returned home.
