Avalon Waterways/ Cosmos/Globus trade lunch in Dublin

Following on from their trade parter lunch in Cork, the team of Lesley Taylor (MD Avalon Waterways/ Cosmos / Globus) and Jayne Lambert (Key Account Manager) were joined by their GSA in Ireland Alan and Jo-Ann Sparling from ASM in hosting their top agents, and Travelbiz Features Editor Declan Mescall, at a lunch in Bang Restaurant.

As a sip of what awaits clients on Avalon River cruises a selection of delicious cocktails and mocktails were served prior to a sumptuous lunch.

After welcoming agents and thanking them for their support Lesley told us Avalon entered the Irish market at the end of 2024 and have enjoyed enormous success. River cruising is up in all markets, but the Irish market has recorded a 40% growth for Avalon since last year with a 50% increase in the premium Panorama Suits sales.

Next year Cosmos/Globus celebrates its 100th year of 1st Class Touring. It’s easy to see why Cosmos/ Globus/ Avalon Waterways are the trades trusted touring & river cruise partner.

Demand for Avalon Waterways continues to soar, with business significantly ahead of 2025 levels. Irish travellers are increasingly choosing Avalon’s award-winning river cruise experience, with strong growth in Panorama Suite bookings and a notable rise in solo traveller demand. Avalon’s spacious Suite Ships®, immersive excursions and relaxed luxury continue to resonate strongly with the Irish market.

Meanwhile, Cosmos Tours is also enjoying exceptional momentum, with Japan, Italy and Canada proving especially popular with Irish holidaymakers this year. Cosmos continues to offer unbeatable value, expertly planned itineraries and flexible touring experiences that appeal to both first-time and seasoned travellers alike.

Appreciation for the trade partners helping drive continued success for both Avalon Waterways and Cosmos Tours in the Irish market.
