Apres Ski with Crystal Ski
Your Travelbiz reporter, Marian Benton attended the Crystal Ski Apres Ski event in the Hyatt Centric Hotel in the heart of Dublin’s Liberties. Travel media and trade enjoyed mulled wine, Aperol spritz and tasty nibbles while being welcomed by Suzanne Mulligan from the Crystal team.
Suzanne said they wanted to create a chilled vibe and they certainly achieved this with the artificial snow machine! She then introduced Charlotte Brenner who heads up the Marketing and Communications team. Charlotte told us that Crystal Ski has been operating for 40 years altogether and 28 years In Ireland. Flights are operated predominately on Tui Airways and the upcoming season will run from pre-Christmas to Easter. Crystal Ski has grown from a small company to now operating to over 100 resorts in 7 destinations. Flights are from Dublin and Cork and Belfast International has been added this year.
Crystal Ski pride themselves on their customer service across the entire customer journey. Charlotte mentioned the dedicated Sales Team of Orla, Bernie, Dania and Bernie and their lengthy service and extensive experience with Crystal Ski. Charlotte handed over to Craig Morgan, Head of Crystal Ski and Tui Ireland. Craig told us that 2023 was a record year and that there is huge demand for ski holidays in Ireland. They are proud of their market leadership position in Ireland and are looking to grow and attract new customers.
They appreciate that value and affordability are important and new destinations of Bulgaria and Slovenia tick both these boxes. They are looking at increasing hotel range, destinations and durations. Craig highlighted their Deal of the Week – every week! – and their ‘Snow Promise’ to early bookers. If there is a lack of snow 4 days before you travel they allow a free amendment to another destination.
A big thank you to the Crystal Ski team and Travelmedia for a very informative and enjoyable evening.
