A&G Launches Tele-Doctor Service

Accident & General (A&G), the multi-award-winning insurance provider and Ireland’s only Travel Trade specific insurance provider, announced the launch of its new Tele-Doctor service, now included on all Fairsure travel insurance policies at the recent Worldchoice Conference.

Craig Donnelly, Director said “This innovative benefit is set to transform the travel experience for our mutual customers by offering remote access to medical professionals, reducing the need to search for clinics or hospitals abroad, should a client fall ill.  It is built into all policy levels, at no extra cost”.

The new Tele-Doctor service provides policyholders with 24/7 access to medical consultations via phone or video link from anywhere in the world. Key features of the service include:

  • Convenience and Speed: Customers can consult with a medical practitioner without leaving their hotel or resort.
  • Local Prescriptions: Following a consultation, prescriptions can be electronically sent to a local pharmacy near the customer.
  • Peace of Mind: The service significantly reduces the stress and anxiety associated with foreign medical institutions, particularly in destinations where language barriers may exist.

“The launch of the Tele-Doctor service marks a major enhancement in our product offering,” said Craig. “We understand that one of the biggest anxieties for travellers is falling ill or requiring minor medical attention far from home. By integrating this service, we are providing a simple, secure, and immediate solution, reinforcing our commitment to putting the customer’s well-being first.”

“A&G prides itself on being fully dedicated to supporting the Irish Travel Trade, and this new benefit provides agents with a compelling, customer-centric feature to enhance their product sales.”
